Injured Gay Withdraws From Brussels

Olympics Day 8 - Athletics

100-meter World Champion Tyson Gay has officially pulled out of the 100-meter show down against Asafa Powell and Usain Bolt. He is still struggling from a sore hamstring.

Wilfried Meert, the meeting organiser in Brussels, told the event's official website: "Tyson Gay has everything to lose and nothing to gain.

It is a wise decision by Gay and his advisors to protect his career.
