Florida's Speedy Jeffrey Demps

He is probably the fastest college football player in the nation and getting past the speedy label, establishing himself with each passing game as an explosive running back.

Jeffrey Demps of the No. 5 Florida Gators had a key punt block against the University of Kentucky. He got to the ball so early, that he thought he was late.

Demps, the national junior record holder in the 100 meters at 10.01 seconds, has some moves but blows by defenders with his blinding speed.

Freshman athlete Jeff Demps led Florida in rushing with seven rushes for 50 yards, receiving on the day with four receptions for 67 yards with a 61 yard touchdown reception.

Jay Hicks for Prerace Jitters.
